Aan boord die BlouBus-bedieningsprojek, wat verlede week van stapel gestuur is, is die leerlinge sterk op pad om hul opvoedingservaring te verryk. Blue Bus Ministry - Arrival of the "BlueBus"

The bus InterCape donated was delivered to Delft community last week Friday. The bus is stationed on the premises of Hindle High next to Blikkiesdorp. We will be teaching the kids in the bus how to read and minister to them the love of Jesus.

Learners from Hindle High welcomed the arrival of the "BlueBus" with lots of joy and gratitude....God is GOOD!

A project in Delft may be the blueprint for empowering disadvantaged communities as it converts abandoned or disusedbuildings to become powerful points of change.

first graduation of 2011

These students completed the following courses: Computer literacy, Business Class, Call Centre Training and our new Arts and Crafts with Magda Venter.

Over 112 certificates were handed out but only 54 students attended as the others all found employment and 1 student had a doctors appointment. Two of our students made history in our community as they are 62 and 92 years old respectfully.

Bovine bling: Western Cape Premier Helen Zille became the proud owner of the brightest bovine of all when she was presented with this ‘Flash Cow’ by a group of Delft residents in thanks for her help in getting community shopkeepers the rights to sell electricity and airtime from their home shops. The residents are members of Flash, a savings and credit co-operative. The cow is their logo.

Lobola for life

What sits behind it? Ms Helen Zille, the Western Cape premier, yesterday received a "cow" of different colour as a gift. Past Charles George of the  Home of Compassion in Delft and community members, delivered the cow made of fibre glass, to Leeuwenhof her official residence, as a gesture of gratitude to Zille.

Zoë Academy of Skills Training Centre holds first graduation Ceremony

It was a joyous occasion this Friday morning (3rd September 2010) at the Zoë Academy of Skills Training Centre when 35 students were awarded their diplomas for training courses they have completed at the Academy.
Amidst loud cheers from fellow students and members of the community Councilor Aubrey Robinson, Chairperson of Sub council 23 of the City of Cape Town handed the certificates and diplomas to the proud recipients.

Premier opens skills academy in Delft

The Old Radio Buildng in Delft was standing vacant for the past 7 years and after talks with the provincial goverment and the Premier, we were given the oppurtunity to lease the buidling from the goverment for the amount of R150 per month.
We were given the building in a vandalised  state in January of 2010 and with the help of the 200 volunteers, the site was cleaned. We then started to work on the building and completed renovations in the month of May 2010 and the building was also op...
